Zoe II also known as Zoe the Great (17 June 1733 – 15 November 1796) was the third longest-ruling female leader of Diadochia and one of the most renowned. She came to power following a coup d'état in 1762, when she deposed her husband John VI, as Diadochian Empress. She ruled until her death, during which time she revitalized the empire, expanding and making it stronger; solidifying Diadochia's position as a great power.
