Exit 25A of the Cross Island Parkway is the final exit on the Cross Island. Although it is numbered 28A, it is not for the same road as companion exit, Exit 25B. Exit 25A takes you onto the Southern State Parkway. Before the Cross Island Parkway was aligned with the Belt Parkway, the exits were aligned with the Southern State Parkway. Due to the SSP alignment, this exit was known as Exit 12A. The numbering scheme goes on to the SSP, which contained Exit 13 and on. The Cross Island Parkway crosses Exit 25A and becomes the Belt Parkway.
