Sherman Krader is the main antgonist in Ernest Goes to Camp. He was portrayed by John Vernon. Krader is the owner of a corrupt mining company that seeks to destroy Camp Kikakee so as to obtain a fictional mineral known as petrocide, unable to obtain the permission of the camp's owner by fair means he manipultes Ernest into getting the owner to sign away the camp while having a serious conversation with Chief St. Cloud: Ernest believing it was a conservation petition. After Ernest and the boys from Midstate Detention Center defeat Krader's mining workers, Krader shows up at the camp holding a rifle and tries to shoot Ernest three times. He totally misses every shot.
