George Albert Dutfield (1881-30 June 1945) was a haulier and local politician. Born in Bow in the East End of London, he was the son of Henry T Dutfield, a master carman. He followed his father into the transport business, eventually forming H & G Dutfield, hauliers, which he handed on to his sons. He was involved in local politics, becoming a member of Stepney Borough Council, and served as Mayor of Stepney in 1909-10. He retired to West Mersea in Essex where he died, aged 63.
