"Panthers" is the name of the sports teams of the University of Prince Edward Island which is located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. They are members of Atlantic University Sport (AUS) and U Sports (formerly known as CIS). Over a 5 year period in the 1930s the PEI rivals who later merged played an annual series for the Wellner Trophy.
