Ar'hael was a large desert on Romulus which was situated at the Novok continent. It was one of the few remaining deserts on the Romulan home world and filled in the "bend" in Novok by the souterh as well as the western side of the Sen'lanarc Mountains. The mountains themselves prevented rain clouds from coming from the south from Brel'kar whilst winds sweeping from the White Sea from Novok drive away what rain may arrive from the Garenak Sea by the east. These conditions allowed for the formation of a desert and left a dessiccated wasteland which was several million kilometers in size.
