Alvera held the position for twenty-nine years till her death in 578 NE. She was Eldaya Tolen's successor and Shein Chunla's predecessor. During her reign, the Aiel gave the Cairhienin a chora sapling thanking for the water their ancestor were given by those of the Cairhienin. Though she tried to establish some measure of leadership, she was a weak Amyrlin. The Hall had been in control of the White Tower with her two predecessors and chose Alvera for that purpose. She died at a young age, she was 248. There is a possibility that she was actually murdered in an attempt to assert some authority.
