Alice is a journalist for LA Magazine. Among her group of friends, she was the only self-proclaimed bisexual, but eventually identified as a lesbian. Her mother Lenore is an actress, and apparently the only one in the family who accepts Alice's sexuality. Alice is estranged from her two siblings, who disapprove of homosexuality, as well as her father, whom she simply describes as "distant".
