Christar is an international evangelical Christian mission organization based in Reading, PA. It has over 300 members, serving among "least-reached" (unreached) people groups in over twenty countries. It was founded in 1930 as "The India Mission", being renamed "International Missions, Inc." in the early 1950s. Its mission statement reads as follows: The mission of Christar is to glorify God by establishing churches, primarily within least-reached communities worldwide. In this endeavor, we partner with churches to send out missionaries who proclaim the gospel and equip the body of Christ.
