The Foundry of the Confederacy was a region of space around the Perlemian Trade Route in the distant Mid Rim, beyond Kashyyyk and Lantillies. It included the Tion Cluster and stretched down to the borders of Hutt Space. It was so named for the large number of industrial worlds in the region that were under the control of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars.
