The Summer of the Talking Squirrel was a season named in honor of Silent Sam's first words. Chronologically, it is the next summer after The Summer of the Late Rose and takes place when the epilogue of Redwall is written in an extract from John Churchmouse's recordings at Redwall Abbey.
