The Vorvaynes were a Vor family on Barrayar. There appear to have been two or more distinct branches of the family. A Count Vorvayne and his wife were both mentioned by Ekaterin in Komarr as having died in the Saltpetre Plot. The Countess died of hunger and starvation a day before her husband. The Vorvaynes, while sharing a common ancestor, had not been related by blood to the Vorvane family for at least five generations.
