Henry Billington (1901-18 June 1986) was a commercial traveller and local politician active in the Ilford area. Born in Bethnal Green, he moved to the Seven Kings area of Ilford. He became a member of Ilford Borough Council as a councillor and subsequently an alderman. He was Mayor of Ilford in 1936-37. Opened William Torbitt School [1].
