Mako was a monk of the 4th century, member of the Order of the Seven Thunders. He was appointed as abbot of a temple located on the southern edge of the Phoenix lands. Mako was engaged in a years-long campaign of letters with his superior, and eventually, he declared his temple's official withdrawal from the Order, breaking away over philosophical differences regarding the nature of humanity and the universe. And thus the Order of the Nameless Gift was born.
