The role of Benjamin Miller aka Ben was played by Jim Haynie. Ben was a dear friend of Catherine Parker and according to Jarod's sly revelation in the episode Exposed, a potential candidate for the paternity of Miss Parker. Catherine used to visit Ben regularly in the Spring of every year. He confessed to being in love with Catherine, and also revealed tidbits to Miss Parker about her mother.
