This Doctor was one of the medical staff who tended to Gail Tilsley in July 1990, when she had a fall in Jim's Cafe whilst pregnant with David. After spending a few days recovering at the hospital, Gail was discharged, with mother and baby given a clean bill of health. Gail then sought medical advice over working at the cafe while pregnant, and was advised against it due to the amount of physical exertion involved, although the doctor noted that it was up to her. Gail spent the following weeks going back and forth on the issue until Martin Platt - the baby's father - resigned from his job as a hospital porter to run the cafe in her stead.
