David Lapworth is a WRC team principal and technical director. From 2000-2006 he was principal of the Subaru World Rally Team and led Richard Burns and Petter Solberg to the world championship. From 2007, he became the team's technical director until 2008, when the team withdrew from the World Championship. He later found a new home as MINI's technical director.
