The Mark of the Heir is the Hiden Jutsu of the Krisent clan and is one of the reasons they were so fiercely protective of their land. This technique was kept exclusive to those of "Pureblood" lineage and as such there were many of the Krisent clan who did not know of its existence. The jutsu requires, on average, a span of 48 years to master. Once mastered the "mark" would be given to the user to signify their status and the "Black Flames" would from then on live inside their body.
