Need for Speed: Showdown is a localised release of Need for Speed: No Limits for the Chinese market published by PopCap and developed by EA Spearhead. An initial beta session was held for compatible Android devices from August 24, 2016 to September 7, 2016. The title features a greater emphasis on multiplayer over Need for Speed: No Limits, including both asynchronous player vs. player and tournament events. It also includes a completely different career mode, as well as various additional car series events, and a new roster of available cars.
