Sergeant Badan Gruk was a South Dal Honese squadleader in the Bonehunters. He was described as short and wide and black as a Tiste Andii. The epicanthic folds of his eyes were very pronounced, allowing very little of the eyes to show, not improved by the fact that he did not smile very often. He was at least a head shorter than most of his fellow soldiers. Badan followed Sinter, who was from his own tribe, into joining the Bonehunters, as the young Dal Hon was infatuated with her.
