The APEX20 is a more affordable version of the APEX200 which was released the same year. The design of both is inspired by a Universe series guitar which Shaffer used in the early days of Korn. It has an RG series-style basswood body with DiMarzio Blaze pickups, a satin alumninum pickguard and a hard-tail bridge.
