Wisewing is a female bat native to Dunlath and one of the leaders of the Song Hollow Colony. When Veralidaine Sarrasri visits there to help the Long Lake pack of wolves Wisewing agrees to help her. She allows Daine to share her mind to do scouting work. The girl accompanies the bat one night when she is out hunting and together with other bats they find out that the magical barrier Tristan Staghorn and the other mages at Dunlath have raised is enclosing the whole valley. Wisewing only appears in Wolf-Speaker.
