The Ausk system contained the planet Khami. Every few years, Khami would pass very close to its neighbor, Hayke, which would set off gravitational changes on the surfaces of both planets. Khamites had to frequently practice safety drills during the months when the two planets were closest, when gravity would destabilize areas and fling beings and buildings into space.
