The premiere of this season of Survivor aired on September 15, 2005. The two-hour season finale aired on December 11, 2005, followed by the reunion show. Despite this season being set in Fiji, the twists were completely different to those of the real season set in Fiji, and was a back-to-basics season. There were no idols, tribal switches or Exile Island in play this season, sticking to the theme of the season.
