The McLaren MP4-29 was a car produced by McLaren for the 2014 Formula One season. It was the first car to be launched ahead of the 2014 season, and was launched online on 24th January. It was driven by McLaren veteran and 2009 Drivers' World Champion, Jenson Button and débutant, Kevin Magnussen. The MP4-29 was launched in its interim livery, with the chassis being entirely chrome-silver and the sponsorship locations being filled with the "MP4-29" text. On March 2014, the actual livery was revealed, with a black-coloured sidepod being added.
