Parupkaar (Gurmukhi ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੁ) is a word which is based on two roots - Pariya (Gurmukhi ਪਰਾਇਆ) which refers to a stranger, alien, foreign entity and oopkar (Gurmukhi ਉਪਕਾਰੁ) which means to do good, be generous; to do the right thing.
