Derbyshire-based actor Karl Haynes appeared on Coronation Street in May and July 2010 as Mal, the manager of lap-dancing club La Belle. He returned to the programme in February 2017 as a Police Officer who, along with a colleague, conducted a search at 13 Coronation Street for illegal drugs. With a professional career dating back to the mid 1990s, he has been credited for roles in A Touch of Frost, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Casualty, North Square, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Heartbeat, Grange Hill, The Royal, Holby City, The Chase, Blue Murder, Doctors and Downton Abbey.
