The Battle of Toong'l was a skirmish between the fleets of the Sith Order of Decreto and the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances over Toong'l. Having suffered heavy casualties during Operation Strike back both the Sith and the Galactic Alliance knew that the next few months of war would be pivotal and as such, both sides tried desperately to hold their own territories. The planet fell under the direct jurisdiction of the New Jedi Order and as such, was a key target for the Sith. A victory at Toong'l would become a massive morale booster, even if the planet's strategic importance was in doubt.
