"Ghost" is the ninth track of the Neutral Milk Hotel album In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. The song's subject matter, like many of the album's songs, deal with themes of death, the afterlife, and eternity. The line "she was born in a bottle rocket, 1929" could be seen as a reference to Anne Frank who was born in 1929. The end of the song bleeds into the album's tenth, untitled track.
