The Conservative Party leadership election was called I light of the founding of the party in May 4146, succeeding the Front National (FN) in Rildanor. Conservative AMs voted in a series of ballots to determine which two candidates would go forward to the nationwide ballot of Conservative members, who would make the final decision. Five Conservative AMs put themselves forward: Anna Soubrie (Former Minister for Trade & Industry; long-standing Trade & Industry Spokeswoman and mother of the house (longest serving female member; 4113-present); Former Shadow Enviromental Spokesman Andrea Fountaine; Michael Haynes (Former Justice Spokesman); Marc Antonio & Phillipe Du Troit.
