Deng Linlin was born on April 21, 1992 in Fuyana, Anhui, China. Deng was a member of the 2008 Chinese team that won the team gold medal. Deng's was one the of the gymnasts whose age was scrutinized in 2008 because of how young she looked. The claims were investigated but found to be without merit. Deng was a member of the 2012 Chinese Women Gymnastic Team. Deng is a World champion and Olympic champion on the balance beam.
