Rovers picked up their first ever league point at Burton Albion's Pirelli stadium in this 1–1 draw in League Two. David Clarkson, playing as a makeshift central midfielder, gave The Pirates the lead on the half-hour mark with a long-range strike, but Billy Kee pulled back the deficit five minutes after the break to round off the scoring. Former Rovers man Justin Richards was included in the starting eleven, but was substituted late in the game.
