The Batraki are the native inhabitants of Gemstone. Visually, their only difference to baseline humans are their purple-shimmering eyes - however, the inner organs are different enough to cause severe complications for any doctor treating a Batraki without prior familiarity. Some other differences, while odd, are more superficial - for example, their bones are slightly lighter, their rips thinner - but they have two more of them. Their bones also tend to be a bit more flexible than baseline humans. Those are merely general traits however - when the tapani shipwrecked on Gemstone millenia ago, they interbred with the locals, and established new noble bloodlines. Since they eventually resumed to marry primarily among their own kin, many non-Batraki traits or other bloodline specific odditie
