James M. Cox was an American politician who served as the 27th President of the United States (1921 - 1929). Cox led America through the "roaring twenties" and oversaw a period of economic prosperity and political stability. Held in high regard during his presidency he has been viewed critically by modern historians for ignoring unsustainable economic growth that was to culminate in the wall street crash shortly after he left office.
