The Battle of Heiligerlee was a battle during the Guelderian Wars on August 5, 1536, in which the Danish allies of Charles of Guelders, under command of Meindert van Ham, were defeated by Habsburg forces under Georg Schenck van Toutenburg. In 1534, the Danish Count's Feud spilled over into the Low Countries where the Guelderian Wars were raging, when Habsburg supported Enno II, Count of East Frisia, ally of Christopher of Oldenburg and Charles, Duke of Guelders supported Balthasar Oomkens von Esens, ally of Christian III of Denmark.
