James Loeis is a freelance technician from Corellia specializing in star ships. He was away from his homeworld, doing a starship modification job for a friend who had moved to Nar Shaddaa when the last Imperial occupation of his home world began and only returned well after it had ended. A brief return trip to Nar Shaddaa led to a confrontation with Hutt Crimelord's enforcers and soon after he returned home for the second time he found himself caught in the struggle between various Corellian factions over whether or not to leave the New Republic. These events led to him training with a blaster and training in how to avoid attacks aimed at him. He also has some education in flying space transports, and a little bit of training in flying larger vessels and using Star ship scale weaponry. He
