The Plainish Post is the local newspaper in Plains. The Post was founded in 1980 and focuses on local and state news. Originally, it was a weekly newspaper, but now prints daily from Monday to Friday (since 1997). It was first known as Local Impact Plains but received a more conventional name in 1984.
