Kitsu Konoko was a shugenja of the Lion Clan. Since child, Konoko wanted to be a bushi, and he studied bushido and communicated with long-dead warriors during his training as shugenja. Several of her family were slain in the War of the Rich Frog, and he resented any Unicorn for it. Konoko was selected as contender in the Topaz Championship.
