Gus Newman is a former NASCAR driver from Las Vegas, NV. He competed in two Nextel Cup Series events in his career. Both races came in 1961, when Newman debuted at Riverside. Starting 15th in the field, Newman completed all but four laps in route to a 14th place effort. He was unable to improve in his other career race, as early mechanical issues left him last (22nd) at Los Angeles.
