Candace Robinson, a no-nonsense Assistant US Attorney, played by Ion Overman, "Hard Candy" is in many ways a mirror for Beckett, and seemingly as strong, determined, successful and attractive as the series' female lead. She initially refuses Beckett's request to speak to her star witness point blank, and it takes every button Beckett can push on her ex, Will Sorenson, to perform an end run on this redoubtable lady.
