John Meeson (c.1820 - 2 October 1890) was a businessman who was active in the local politics of West Ham. Head of a firm of lime burners and cement manufacturers, Bow Bridge. Member of the West Ham Local Board and chairman 1863-75. First Mayor of the County Borough of West Ham , 1886-7. Further information here [1]
