The tactics employed by the Akatsuki during the events of the Fourth Shinobi World War had left scars and horrid memories in the minds of many veterans who had defected from their home villages and taken up residence within Tenkūgakure. As such, when the opportunity presented itself, a unit was formed with the explicit purpose of wielding fūinjutsu in such a manner to prevent devastating losses in the face of an opponent of the Akatsuki's caliber. Over time, and due to the Kōjin Clan's existing interest in the sealing and space-time arts, the unit expanded into a thriving subdivision of the Tenkūgakure Regulars.
