St. Agnes Orphanage is the residential institution where Skye grew up, in between the various attempts to place her with adoptive families. It was presumably specifically chosen by S.H.I.E.L.D., and had instructions (predicated on a forged Level 7 identity) to keep rotating her placement. For the purposes of the institution, she was known as 'Mary Sue Poots'.
