Polonte the Hatchling is a bird-like monster created by the Tree of Indecision to test Klonoa if he was worthy to claim the element of Indecision. In its first form, Polonte appears as a large egg with only its legs sprouted out, but after being rammed by Klonoa three times, its true form is revealed as a large, bird-like creature. The hatchling is more protective rather than hostile as it never truly attempts to defeat Klonoa, but rather escape him by blocking his path with ice walls. When under extreme threat The Hatchling summons five Moos on surfboards which travel in klonoas direction. Klonoa can use the Moos to throw at The Hatchling to inflict damage.
