Novatown was a newly-constructed city in the North East of England. It was due to be opened in the year 1999, but the inhabitants were killed by nerve gas during the Volgan invasion of Britain. The only survivor was Charlie, the only inhabitant who had had access to a gas mask. Later in 1999, Silk and Savage took refuge in the town after attacking Volgan border guards, where they befriended Charlie. Charlie was later killed by Volgs tracking the pair of refugees.
