The Preston Arms is a tavern in Preston, County Palatine of Lancaster, Kingdom of England, built shortly after the founding of the town in 1455. The now Preston Arms was previously known as The New Hope of Preston, and before that as the Hope of Preston. The "new" was added after the Preston Exodus. The tavern is run by the Town Hall and always offers a "warm and unbiased welcome to all visitors and residents." In recent times it has been a regualr haunt of the Preston Council. They meet there often and somtimes can be seen running for a dip in the River Ribble after a lengthy meeting.
