Malcolm Struan is the brother of the late Martin Struan and the present head of the House of Struan in Port Cedric. He ruled the city during the Struan Rebellion while Martin made his bid for the throne of Maar Sul. After the rebellion, Martin was executed but Malcolm was allowed to live although the House of Struan was stripped of its noble status afterwards by King Kagetsu II as punishment for Martin's treasonous actions. Since then Malcolm has been in close contact with the House of Cedric, the city's new ruling family, in an effort to redeem his family name.
