The generator provides two main functions: it provides a power allotment that determines how many and which other machines can be placed in the basement, and converts divine charge items into machine charge for the other machines to consume. Power allotment can be thought of as 'floor space' for the other machines. Machines require a specific amount to be built or upgraded. The large generator provides 125 power allotment. At level 102 Invention the generator can be upgraded to the jumbo generator.
