At the age of 18, his father Murphy McReidus Gray (his superhero name, Clockbender) who was formerly an adversary of the X-Men, uses his abilities to time travel to the past in the war, to stop Kang The Conqueror, who has currently time travelled the same events too, to assasinate the weak and former Steve Rogers.
