The Fourth of July 2016 was the one hundred and twenty-second content update and the twenty-second in The Simpsons: Tapped Out. It started on June 29, 2016, in the middle of the Superheroes 2016 Event and ended on July 6, 2016. The event included new content as well as returning content from the previous Fourth of July events. The main questline of the event is The Barbarian Candidate. If the player logged in on July 4th, they received one Pinwheel Firework. It introduced a new Gil Deal offering the Springfield National Park that comes with Teddy Roosevelt.
